Susan K. "Sue" Swartz

 Susan K. “Sue” Swartz, 71 of Altoona, died Saturday, June 26, 2010.  She was born June 12, 1939 in Altoona the daughter of the late Howard S. and Florence K. (Kensinger) Mummert.   She retired from Carol Cable.  Sue was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School.  She enjoyed maintaining Highland Park with her companion, Ted.  Sue was a member of the Eldorado Kiwanis.  Sue is survived by her son, Michael Todd Swartz and wife Michelle of Duncansville, brothers and sisters, Barbara A. Sutch , Alice J. Mummert, Mary A. Frederick, Harry A. Mummert , John H. Mummert and Kathryn Cassanese, grandchildren, Justin, Gabby and Nathan, and her devoted companion, Ted Treese.  Friends will be received from 5:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona.  A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Henrietta, PA.   In remembrance of Sue, those who wish may make contributions to Eldorado Kiwanis, P.O. Box 1493, Altoona, PA, 16603.
